New Sponsor: Lange Ski Boots

It is always with great joy when I attain something to make my ski life and financial life slightly easier. Its with even greater joy when its a product I already use on my own dime, and a product I didn’t have to make 10,000 phone calls and 10,000 emails to try to get some stuff for free.
This year I have been slacking on attaining new personal sponsors. In fact I have not pursued any at all, because all of my effort has been going towards sponsors for the big project Nic and I have on tap!
This one came by pure luck. I’ve been skiing in lange boots for 10 years. In my early childhood I skied in beaters. I quickly realized they didn’t handle the skiing I wanted to do. So I went to the ski patrol swap and bought some Atomics with my hard earned 40 bucks when I was 12. My feet swam in them, but they were comfy. Once again after a couple years I realized the control just wasn’t there. By this time my feet had grown a bit and I had the same size foot as my mom. She skied in Langes. I tried her boots on and bingo. Tight in all the right places and power. So I did some ski shop hunting. Found a pair of old brand new lange race boots in the basement of the local shop for $125. They were my size. I was stoked for the find!
I’ve moved through a few pairs since, never considering anything but lange. I’ve tried on other boots, but for my feet the closest out of the box fit is the lange 98mm mold. The last pair I bought were lange comp 120’s. I later found out that the model year I had, had some plastic cracking issues. Not in the model years previous and not in the model years since. Needless to say my boots cracked right at the joint. I lasted through last season on them but the crack was getting worse and digging into my ankle.
I got lucky. Talked to the right guy about possibly getting my boots warrantied, and he said he recognized my name from some comps and photos. Warranty wasn’t a possibility because my boots were old, but why not ski on some brand new Lange Super Banshees, their top of the line freeride boot with booster style power strap, recco reflectors, and vibram soles? You can imagine my answer!

Sexy orange eh?
I guess there comes a point where all of the past accomplishments start to snowball. Here’s to this site snowballing through the future and the big project creating one giant ass snowman!

Thanks lange. The new boots look unreal and I can’t wait to put them through their paces!

Hi!
Great news…now do they ever sponsor middle-aged moms who have the right fit for feet but maybe not quite the right downhill boogie on the slopes!?!
